2017 Lincoln MKC – Exterior
Expectations and Luxurious Interior Design

There’s a lot of standard-issue crossover styling going on in
the exterior of this new 2017 MKC. The exclusive design cues
are subtle, but they certainly do pay off well, its front
fascia is rather a farewell to the split wing design that
Lincoln is moving away from.

The grille has that same split wing design but has been slimmed
down this time around. Extensive use of chrome in this grille
can be noticed right away. To avoid references to Ford Escape,
the makers have done the framing for the glass carefully.

This luxury crossover is visually appealing from the rear
portion to as the full-width taillights have a 2 piece design
and they have been smoothly executed.

Interior:

The interior cabin of this 2017 Lincoln MKC is just as fine.
The centre console holds a large infotainment display with
rotary controls. One interesting thing to notice is there’s no
shift lever for a manual transmission as pushbuttons have been
used instead.

Luxury has been taken to the next level in this cabin as
premium materials like Bridge/Weir leather and genuine wood has
been used. Most importantly, this cabin also offers a plenty of
space for a refined driving experience.

2017 Lincoln MKC – Powertrain and Mileage

Coming from a standard engine is the 2.0-liter EcoBoost which
produces 270 lb-ft of torque and 240 hp. Although there’s no V6
option, this Lincoln MKC 2017 seems to do fine with it as a
2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged 4 cylinder mill makes 305 lb-ft
of torque and 285 hp.

With this engine, the 2017 Lincoln MKC can take a sprint from 0
to 60 mph in 7 seconds. The power delivery of this engine is
just awesome as it incorporates a twin-scroll turbocharger.
Refinement and quietness are enhanced by features like active
noise cancellation, a balance shaft system and extra noise
insulation.

As both front wheel drive and all-wheel drive is available,
mileage differs accordingly. With all-wheel drive, figures of
fuel economy go as 18 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on highways and
21 mpg combined. With front wheel drive, figures increase to
20/29/23 mpg respectively.
